Kurtis Byrne gets second, maybe he can smell a recall on the cards.

if Stokes goes, i fail to see how Yogi can avoid recalling him.

i said when he (Kurtis) went out that if he could emulate Kenny Millers stint at Stenny where he learnt to fight with the tough guys and banged them in for fun...returning to ER and just continuing the same, then it would work out well for all concerned....heres hoping:greengrin

Well done Boothy and Kurtis.

Remember when Deeks and i think O'Connor went to Cowdenbeath and did well, they got recalled after like 3 games. Maybe Kurtis could gain a recall. Also if Hart's injury is bad then maybe get McCann back?

Good work from the boys, but the fans will need to be patient. They will be there or thereabouts at the after Christmas sometime, but if we can get them weekly game time at thier current clubs, and they maintain standards and improve, then they'll be all the better for it when they return, I'm sure of it.

Well done to both Callum Booth & Kurtis Byrne. :top marks.:top marks. Surely these two deserve a chance in the first team if they keep on doing well.

callum Booth played wide left midfield and apparently played very well (according to fans on Pie and bovril). It will do both him and Byrne good to stay out on loan until xmas and then come back and push for the first team.

Still not sure about Byrne. Might just have found his level. Let's see if he can do this week in and week out then he might be ready for a team supposed to be challenging for 3rd in the SPL.

Living in Dundee and Hibs not playing I took the opportunity to go to Brechin's games on Tuesday v Dundee and the game yesterday v Alloa. Boothy came on 2nd half v Dundee and defended really well. Yesterday he scored a good goal and caused Alloa real problems going forward. Talking to some Brechin fans they have been really impressed with our 2 loanees and on the 2 performances I saw Big Moyes was outstanding in both games! He was dominant in the air, showed good anticipation and passing and a lot of courage (erm is that not what we are missing in Hibs defence Yogi!)
I saw a lot of the winning 19's team and on the evidence I have seen Yogi has called it wrong not giving Boothy Moysey and Kurtis a chance.

The problem Moyes has is that yogi brought in stephens and then we also have Hanlon so there is two young centre halves in his way.

I realise you may not have been serious, but I think we should not get to excited yet. I suspect even big Nishy would score a lot of goals in the second division. It's a learning experience for all the lads out on loan that will help them develop.

Personally, I'm more than happy to have good competition for all positions in the team. This is also exactly why it is good that Moyes, and the others, are away getting first team games, because they wouldn't get games for the Hibs first team.

Seeing as Moyes struggled in his first loan spell away at Livi, I would say he called it bang on. We need to stop measuring the progress of this batch against the "golden generation". They got thrown in at the deep end and, for all the good performances, they had some shockers as well - along with picking up a lot of knocks and injuries. They were played out of necessity, and sometimes struggled because of that.

Let these laddies get consistancy and stregnth before chucking them in at the deep end up here. Hibs fans are NOT forgiving, as some of the stick W'Spoon got from the East showed last season. As long as they are playing competative they will benefit from the loans at this age. Yogi will get them back Xmas, and then we'll be able to see what the situation is.

I hear from a source that Byrne is a stick on for Celtic in the Jan transfer window as the manager that will replace Lennon is said to be an admirer.

Yes! It should please our Glasgow friends to see that we are continuing to produce players for them.
