I was in Alabama having been to every one of the 22 in a row. Stayed the night at a birds house and called one of my mates from hers to be told we'd gone and won. Was gutted and delighted all at the same time!

Good man. Hope she gave you cab money. If not, get in touch with R.Petrie, Hibernian FC and he'll get it - and backdated interest - for you....by any means necessary.

I was in Co Sligo at a wedding having been at the bulk of those 22, pre-mobile phone days so had no idea of score, and had to go out and sit in the car listening to the classified results at 5 o'clock to get the good news. Only one other Scot at the wedding and he turned out to be a Jambo who spent the night moaning, cursing and muttering to himself:thumbsup:

I was there. FACT!

I was there too.

Chose my holiday time wisely!

My laddie who was then ten, was the only person who had the current Hibs strip on (apart from the players obviously) - the one with striped sleeves - as he had been mascot at the opening game against Dundee United.

Oh, and I was also at the 7-0 game.

FACT! :agree::agree::agree::agree::agree::agree::agree:

I'd love to help you as I was 16 and just finished a round of Chemotherapy so was on all these wierd drugs to help me get over it. Unfortunately, once inside the stadium, I threw up everywhere so legged it to the toilet only to be met by the cops on the way out who thought I was reeking so chucked me in the cells until the end of the game before taking me to St Leonards to release me. They took my name address and age so of course I said 16 and they told me to empty my pockets and I pulled out 3 betting slips:agree::greengrin

Got a letter from the PF on the Wednesday saying there was no charge. No bloody appology though. Just me, one other Hibby and about 30 jambos in the 1 holding cell. Great day. Even the Jambos were ok with us. Just a pity we could see F' all.

Have to agree with Erin go Bragh. I thought it was a lot longer ago than that. I was offshore so missed it.

I also missed 7-0 having docked in Avonmouth on the 28th and the Old Man not letting anybody go home!!!

having said that I have not set foot in that piggery since Mercer days.

Me and the old man were sitting in the "family enclosure" in that "main stand". GH scored and he jumped over the fence and jumped around for a bit. Steward told him to get back to his seat. He climbed back over giving the steward a GIRFUY on the way back :greengrin Will never forget this game. I love Hibs :greengrin

It was my sisters birthday as well that day but for some reason we hadnt got her a ticket. At that time she worked in a&e at the royal so she managed to get it with the paramedics and sit behind the dugouts but with the express instructions to behave :-) Guess who couldnt hold back and gave the yams a big giruy when we scored lol. Think she just about needed a police escort out

Gordon Hunter blew the yams away...

I remember it well cos I was in hospital after the birth of my son and the hubbie was really late on the Sunday coming to bring us hame cos he was a tad hungover!! Understandably

Oh and BTW my son nearly had Gordon Hunter as middle names!!!

He was lucky he stopped "that run" and then we had a few good wins against them including the 6-2

Cheers

I was dumped by my girlfriend that morning cos i was goin to the game instead of goin shoppin. Was gutted until GH scored. If my memory serves me well wasnt a knuckledragger sent off in that game. Was in the family enclosure. I too had been to most of the 22 in a row.
The girl ended up marryin a knuckledragger!!!!

I too was there. A great day and to top it all off I got my money back from HMFC as I complained to them in a letter after the match that I couldn't see 3/4 of the pitch as my seat was directly behind one of the floodlights. Got a cheque for £8 from them a few days later with a letter of apology. I was probably at all of the 22 and they were the luckiest shower in quite a number of them. The 22 just made that day so much more special.
