I'm not up on this guy, however his comments tonight about the government being interested in the right thing blah blah

What does he mean, did he leave under labour or tories, I thought it was under the tories:confused:

It's nonsense. The reason he's back here is because he senses some advantage financially to himself and he reckons that he will get away with it.

People like that are like animals. They never change their spots.

He left in the early 90's. The guy's a charlatan and if he gets away with it, it will be a travesty.

Having said that, this government isn't a continuation of the previous Tory government - just like the next Labour govt won't the same as the one just booted out.

not suggesting it is, I just wondered if that was his reasoning on coming back. I did hear on the news this morning though that it's more likely that his reason is he doesn't think that he will be able to get a fair trial so is hoping no prosecution will be bought against him.

Northern Cyprus and Turkey itself are desperate to join the EU. NC has started to extradite some people now, presumably as a goodwill gesture.

It looks as if Nadir has come over while he can still come over on his own terms.

hadn't thought about that angle, although surely there are other countries that would have allowed him to buy a house, assuming he has money?

I didn't know anything about this case until I read the paper and that was my immediate thought. Jumped before he was pushed.
