iv just seen via the .net homepage that the above player has been released by Rangers.
Young, a fair few SPL games and - probably - CL experience. Dont know re: injury proneness admittedly, but if - for whatever reason - Yogi isnt willing to promote Booth then we need a LB whose legs rnt kaput.
Cud do worse than Smith IMO.

Think you have answered your own point, with regards to Smith being injury prone..........

oops never mind then.
Still, along with an brawny ****er for up top and someone to dominate the CM and do the dirty work, id like to see us getting in a decent LB if Booth isnt being risked

It's about time Yogi started to blood the younger lot. Welsh and Currie are very good players, aswell as Callum. I haven't a clue why they've not had more game time.

Probably fits into the category of one of the worst Scottish players to ever play for the Old Firm. We've got much better at the club already.

Welsh was going great guns in pre season but gave himself a bad one when training in Holland.

Has had an op which was successful and is now on the road to recovery.

Both him and Currie have to be impressive quickly, their contracts run out in December.
