Sub Ross Caldwell on at HT got 1st
Number 14 (sounded like Pigeon - maybe wrong) got 2nd
Impressed with Smith, Gold & Caldwell

Gala,
Was that Jim Darling of Ex Bank of Scotland fame?
Were you being serious or sarcastic in your assessment?
If it was that Jim Darling I have known him for donkeys years, wasnt bad keeper in his day.

Indeed it is, ran the line tonight, and at Vale Of Leithen a fortnight ago. was my boss in B of S in mid 80's. Serious assessment, Jim had a good game as you would expect from a seasoned veteran.

some of david's boots are horrendous and dont even get me started on the purple/pink ones that quite a lot of the players are wearing these days. what happened to plain old black boots?:greengrin

I've got a pair of them. My 9 yr old calls them 'referee's boots'!!
Oh for a pair of Beckenbauer Supers!

Played amateur with jim back in the day. If he ran the line it's the first thing he ever ran in his puff. Decent keeper right enough.

Not a bad wee game with a very young Hibs side just edging it. Pity the heavy rain cut down the attendance but as always a great welcome in the Souters clubrooms named after Hibs & Selkirk's own Bobby Johnstone. Full marks to Selkirk too for producing an excellent 32 page programme for the match.

Sunday stuff Thorburn for one of the Gorebridge teams in the Maybury league.
I am going back to late 70s early 80s. Decent side too. I was obviously the weakest link. :(
