So, can we expect Weir to be up before the review panel then? :greengrin
Thought not.
On the subject of Weir, I've just had the link to this photo (http://willievass.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/220810-Hibs-v-Rangers/G0000aJ__to_aCGk/I0000Q2E0v0qMImM) emailed to me by a Celtic fan - look where Brines is facing.

That's pretty much my take on it all.
Except Deek was very unlucky.
Personally, I think it's great for certain types of player in the game to know that they can square up to an opponent aggressively and then feign a headbutt injury in the safe and sure knowledge that they will only pick up one Yellow card for their efforts.
Gives the trouble makers like McGregor carte blanche.
Interesting how when the refs are seemingly cracking down on other areas of the game, simulation is regarded so lightly.
Its hard to see Deek as taking an agressive stance.
- he pulled out of the challenge
- made slight contact and was in the act of apologising
- Mcgregor squared up to him
- Mcgregor dived
The only possible booking was for the challenge, but that wasnt worthy of a yellow.
I dont buy this reasoning.
Also still dont agree that booting the ball into lafferty is a straight red. No doubt that McBride meant it, but when I have seen this happen before, its never been a straight red. If lafferty hadnt reacted would McBride have been sent off ?
This is a good point, say Deeks had been booked already, McGregor could pull this trick to get Deek a 2nd yellow knowing he cannot be sent off.
