Hibs have set a new record in front of our newly completed stadium, today saw the first time in our 135 year history a run of six competitive losses at home.
Our previous record was 5 games back in 1941 but they were war games, Wilson Cup, Summer Cup etc. Back in 1934 we lost a Scottish Cup and four league games. In 1982 we had a run of six home draws, but today we beat all records.:bitchy:

To be fair, they were to Dundee Utd, Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Maribor and Rangers.

What do you get out of posting stuff like this exactly?

so should this mean the record should not stand, as the games lost where against "bigger" teams:confused:

Exactly. A 3-0 defeat at home is just the business.
Who cares if we lose every week from now on.

Fantastic news. Hopefully Yogi will name himself, Tam McCourt and me and my mum in the next starting line up. We HAVE to keep this going.
Best he names Rod Petrie to so I can blame him if I have a cr@p game. :agree:

quite. What does yon Raw lad mean 'to be fair'???
This is Easter Road we're talking about, and we led in at least 2 of the quoted games. 0 points out of 12, and a European defeat at home is a grim record.
Here's hoping it improves - pronto.

Hibs done well for a large part of the game today, to twist what he said to seem as if he meant the results is unreal.

Its not really a fair stat as they didn't have the top-flight split until recently so we wouldn't have been forced to play the best teams one after the other in such a way.

Of course it is fair, we should not lose every single game to these teams, especially not at home IMO

Only two of the six home games involved were played as a result of the split. It's not the reason for losing six home games in a row.

Not one of whom should be unbeatable at ER.

Rangers (twice), Celtic, Hearts, Arabs and Maribor.

Thats pretty tough Beefster - the fact Rangers were/are champions, Celtic were on a roll beating everyone, Utd were cementing third and on the road to a cup final, our local rivals were well up for it in a Derby and maribor are a not-too-shabby european team means that run of games is as hard as we are ever likely to get.

Not defending the defeats by the way, just saying a cold evaulation of that run of fixtures reveals it not to be a cakewalk.

I wish I shared your optimism. I watched the game in a pub in Sharm el Sheikh, surrounded with,
Rangers, Newcastle and Middlesborough fans. Hibs were really poor IMO.

You should have seen the Boro game, 14,000 fans watching, was like Alloa - really bad. Don't take any s!!! from them!

When we lose 6 home league games in a row in the SAME season I'll start to worry. We all know how poor we were at the end of last season, but it's a new one now.
