Motherwell are probably a decent bet to go through and United will probably go out. If Motherwell do go through does that mean they are a better side than United, Hibs, Maribor, Olympiakos and everyone else who gets knocked out earlier? Of course not, luck of the draw and random events in one off games play a big part.

Palermo finished 5th in Serie A last season (just missed out on Champions League). If Maribor are a level above us then Palermo are two or three at least.

Maribor win trophies and get into Europe pretty much every year. Let it go.

Even as a Yogi fan I have to admit tactical ineptitude had more to do with our heavy defeat by Maribor than luck.
