Free Parking in Edinburgh

I'm moving out of my flat in Marchmont (to Leeds!) and I'm borrowing a car from Saturday until Wednesday night to take all my things.

I've not had a car up in Edinburgh, and I'm not too familiar with the parking restrictions. Is there anywhere (preferably near Marchmont) I can leave the car for free? If not, are there any recommended long stay car parks near by?

If you head towards the Observatory,and turn left into one of the wee streets,you'll eventually find a space.

5min walk back.

sorry, maps in the car,heid's in a bottle of Chablis,so I can't remember the street names,but it's in the Grange !
