Been told by a st johnstone 19's player we have put in a bid for him which was rejected and have put in another. Don't know if there is any truth in it, might be a load of ****, might not be.

Good player, would take him. Not sure what contract length he has left but if its a few years I would imagine it will cost a few hundred grand to get him.

Got a vague recollection of him seen through the redmist when st.j gubbed us at perth. Looked a no bad player. Certainly be good competition for starting places.

I heard hibs enquired but thats it, they have already rejected bids for him, they dont need to sell.

Noticed that wiki says he was born in Edinburgh - anyone know if he was a boyhood fan of us or them?

murray is a massive current bun as are his whole family.

hibs have had 3 bids turned down for him.

based on his performances against us last season, I wouldn't have minded us going for Liam Craig from St J!

Based on ADC's comments of him at school, he doesn't sound much of a massive anything in terms of footballing alligience. Sounds like a lot of players, a guy who has always played football on a Saturday, thus never attended many games, and professes to support one of the Glasgow teams that are always on the telly.

Oh yes there is.

The bids were discussed at length on the PM board just last week

On the bounce that he is a yam
No way we will offer serious cash for him
looks like frees or zip, unless we sell someone for big cash

This is not how we operate. We have before and we will continue to put in cash bids for players we see a financial return in e,g, young, highly rated players. We are in the miniority of clubs who can do this if we want.

Not everything is so black and white.

JH himself said that he would have to shuffle the pack
Do you think that we would have, say 400k to splash out on this guy????
wasn't the season ticket monies used to get in the 3 we have already got
I do agree with you about signing players with potential of getting a profit back, I just can't see RP
sanctioning this move,,,but hey go, who knows

Have heard his name mentioned plenty, but don't think i've ever seen him. Could someone say what type of player he is, and what position?

That shored up the operational loss we made.

Indeed. And that is probably why one of our better players wasn't sold in the last financial year.

Good player IMO.

Lets put in a couple of other bids that they will reject. He will become unhappy at not being given the chance to leave to play for the Famous Edinburgh Hibees... eventually he will hand in a transfer request and we will get our man.

Somehow I doubt it will work like that.
