One of my colleagues over in Amsterdam had this to say about Denneboom

Used to be a very good player. Played with our national champion FC Twente but when Steve Mcclaren came to become coach he had to leave. Has no team at the moment. They used to call him black dynamite; not sure on the field on with the ladies!

Safe to say now that the others players fitness was a doubt but that contracts had been discussed (which is what I did not want to say at the time)
