It is a tribute to dead loved ones eg Lampard started doing this after his mother died.

Seems more like you have a problem with Lampard than the actual goal celebration dude.
Lampard does it following the death of his mother last year. What's the problem with dedicating a goal to a loved one???:bitchy:

Benji quite often looked to the sky but that was due to him being a devout Muslim and thanked the higher power for giving him the gift of the goal.

Benji also hopped on pitch! Perhaps due to an animal he was in a previous life.

I know us Hibbys like to moan, I for one like a good moan about our performance, but you are really trying to find something to moan about when the celebrations arent up to scratch.

Maybe you should try and moan about something less trivial, like the benfits of 100 watt bulbs vs 2 cheaper 50watt ones.

Justin Fashanu while at Hearts was famous for kissing rings.

No he is not, he is pointing to the heavens dedicating his goals to his Mum. Robbie Keane used to kiss the tatoo on the inside of his wrist, any idea what the tatoo is?

exactly! this is a better celebration than kissing the back of your hand!

do you sit in the office and kiss the back of your hand when you make a right move?

Nope. I generally point to the sky or do a funny wee dance when I have a good day in the office.

If I started kissing the back of my hand people around me would think I'm a weirdo.

Bring back a manly handshake and a pat on the back and get right back on with the game. A wee wave to the crowd would be permissible.

Totally. I love nothing more than the sight of a centre forward scoring and then simply turning and jogging back to get on with the game. Job done, good effort, let's get another one. I always think it does have a psychological edge, as if scoring is just matter of fact, that it kind of says "I've scored, no big deal, I'll do it again"

You need to use the Insert Video button when you create a post, paste the url, and click OK. The video clip will then be embedded within your post automatically by using some sort of scripting I'd imagine.

You don't half come out with some random stuff. Look up the definition of "hate"... "to feel animosity or hostility":agree:

How can you feel animosity or hostility against a celebration:confused:

Frank Lampard, for one, does it in dedication to his dead mother.
Looking to the sky is just a natural reaction also. You've probably done it yourself without realising when you've finished a race/round of golf or even scoed a goal against your mates at football.

If it gets on your nerves so much that you "hate it", you need to get out more in the real world.

Just out of interest... What do you think of traffic wardens?

Edit: Didn't realise that this was an old post dragged back out again and that I'd posted on it previously. I'd still like to know what this guy thinks of traffic wardens if he hate's goal celebrations though.

Absolutely.
The archetypal pretty boy.
Not so much when he's scored but more like that narcissitic glance up at the big telly when it's chalked off or he's missed in the penalty shoot out and let his country down.
Again.
