Nice one.

Can't believe how close the houses are to their new stand!

Might have to tone down the on field celebrations before we get someone booked

Can't beleive how crap it is....2010 and a new stand being built with numerous supporting pillars :wtf:

They are getting EPL TV money and at least 2 years of parachute payments....pathetic

I think the quality of the stand is mostly a reflection of the speed with which they wanted it built, rather than money. But you're right, it's incredibly short sighted. They should be investing in their infrastructure if nothing else.

#Looking at that, I'd say theres no room behind there for the structure of a self supporting stand. They could have went for the pink bus shelter design though no? :greengrin

It's not the same height, or colour as the other stands too :grr:

I doubt if Blackpool themselves are expecting to have any chance of survival this season. They will be looking to make money from the Premier League and not get themselves into the financial mess that others have achieved by spending big money in a vain attempt to stay up. Poor show for their supporters certainly but they will certainly stay solvent.

They should be investing in their infrastructure if nothing else. The seating sections seem to be built on scaffold like platforms...they look very flimsy so perhaps they may be temp & will be replaced with a more "rigid" effort when they get lesser crowds ...like next season ...:greengrin

LOL.

What a beautiful strike though. Nice and simple. Made it look so easy.

The new stand at Blackpool is being built as quickly and cheaply as possible before they build summat a little more permanent when they have more time on their hands.

Having said that, virtually the whole of Craven Cottage is a similar 'metal steps and supporting pillar' kind of thing, and those stands have been up for a few years now.

Anyone else notice that there appeared to be no flood lights in blackpools stadium?

Great free-kick from Miller, but thats probably the last time he'll get the ball off Deeks this season. Btw loved the effort from the defender to get back on the line.:greengrin

Good strike. Always useful to have a couple of 'dead ball specialists' in a side.

Not very often I can remember saying that about Hibs!

am sure this is a temp. fabrication as there was no time to get full planning permission for a permanent structure.

They've apparently already had planning permission ready for when they had the cash to build a new one, but obviously they weren't expecting to get promoted and the whole process has been accelerated - if they built a proper stand then they'd lose half of the season and would have to be operate with a capacity of barely 10,000.
