I look forward to the future threads - its ages since I seen the FF Upper.

Those were the days

Notice the bevelled left edge? We must have been restricted by the lane at St Andrews Bowling Club and not been able to build straight back. Once the New East is complete do you think we will be able to walk all the way around??

In the New East there's a section that's in line with the corner flag - 45 I think. When I was in the South Upper last Thursday I noticed you can't see most of that section from the South

Cant see many dudes sitting there. I think the club originally meant it to be part of the Singing Section but if singing to the opposition is the goal, the only sections that will be able to do that now are sections 43, 42 and leftwards/lower

That's assuming most singers are in the top dozen rows :dunno:

Great to see the other stands getting some attention, after all that fuss about the east. But why is the south stand that slanty 'cut off' way at the corner?

where will Cat B holders go now? cant see much need for opening turnstyles for home fans in the South, unless we get a sudden rush for STs.

Is it me, but does that stand not look smaller than the west stand?

Good shout Gary - hadn't noticed that before :aok:

Wonder if we could get a pic of Steven Thicot sitting in the stand?

I don't think it's any taller. From birdseye photos you can see that the roof of the West sticks out past both stands behind the goals.

Maybe so, but the paintwork looks a different shade of green.

And I'm SHOCKED to see that the stairways in the top tier don't line up with the stairways in the lower tier, resulting in an untidy and dishevelled appearance inconsistent with the status of our great club. Time to pull this shabby monstrosity down and rebuild it properly, surely?

A challenge for Petrie maybe? See how many stands you can knock down and build before Hearts build one.

We'd actually have a Leith San Siro before then:greengrin

New joke - how many Romanovs does it take to build a grandstand? Don't know - still waiting....
