Just Back - Positives and negatives from tonight

Positives :-


Thought Hart looked solid
Murray did better than of late
Bamba was immense (MOTM by a mile)
De Graff got a couple
Riordan did ok - he looks fitter and his workrate was better
New pitch looks immense - like a billiard table
New stand looks brilliant (hope we can fill it!)
It will have been a great lesson playing 2 games against Maribor - a very impressive team both defensively and in attack
Don't think we picked up any injuries tonight (except a wee niggle that Hogg picked up)


Negatives :-


Sorry, but Smith doesn't inspire confidence
Miller and McBride were average at best
Stokes hardly contributed anything
WE HAVE A SEVERE LACK OF PACE AND WIDTH IN THE TEAM - SO FRUSTRATING AND OBVIOUS!

Ant and Deeks worked really hard
De Graaf scored two and will get more this season.

The pre-match music was ace (Sex Pistols, Undertones etc...)
Pitch - Ace
New Stand - Ace
De Graaf - Looked like he could be a player.

Negatives

The Defence. All of them
the tactics - big hoof to Nish! FFS.
The substitutions and timing of them.
Coca Cola that was warm!
Miller - looked well off the pace.
Lack of pace all over the park (Bamba excepted but he will be gone soon)
The predictable booing when the team needed a cheer or two.

Hart . . . Van Zanten in disguise! All he did was pass it back . . . no attacking the goal line.

All Back 4 . . . hart, hogg, Bamba & murray should retire immediately

Keeper . . . still got a keeper issue.

How easy did the Maribor throw-ins take the total piss out of Hibs - boys V men

Nish puts on a Hibs jersey!

Galbraith starts as a sub

Riordan gets an ovation when he tracks back his player

Positives:

*de Graaf - my Hibs player of the match - looked good. We need to make sure he doesn't get injured.
*McBride - penalty aside (silly, silly mistake) played well and played with passion (if he could get that in to a few more players that would be great)
*Deeks - end to end stuff, had little help on the left wing at times though
*Bamba back, he saved us at times
*East looks well nice

Negatives:

*Defence - where were they half the time? Why wasn't Stephens on?
*Miller - far to slow to make decisions and pushed off the ball too easily
*Our pace - we took too long deciding who to pass to then would just pass back
*Wotherspoon and Galbraith coming on so late. We were playing really narrow, we needed on them on sooner.
