As part of the Premier League - Football League parachute payments deal, members of the Football League will fall under new transparency of ownership regulations. People are speculating this will force Leeds to name who their owners are.

Since I know how this board likes to debate complex ownership structures of football clubs, here is how Leeds is owned. Part of this is from a statement on the club's website: http://www.leedsunited.com/page/Ownership/0,,10273,00.html

72.85% of Leeds is owned by FSF Limited. The rest is owned by three small shareholders. FSF is owned by 3 different trusts.

The three trusts' trustee is Château Fiduciaire, a Swiss trust company.

The ultimate owners' advisor is a Walter Stapfer who works for Finova Geneva (http://www.finova.com.sg/test/site/geneva_info.html) and also serves as the chairman of Château Fiduciaire. He would be the person who would know who set up the trusts and who are the beneficiaries.

So if anyone wanted to know who owns the club, all they would have to do is email Walter (walter.stapfer@finova.com.sg).
