I would just like to remind everyone that at the Europa Cup game there will be a turnstile bucket collection in aid of the Dnipro Appeal funds.

:agree:

This event is one of our few big fundraising opportunities that the charity has during the course of the year and in the past it has seen a generous addition to funds. These funds are utilised to ensure that supporters in Scotland can make a substantial difference to the lives of the orphaned children in Dnipropetrovsk.

:top marks

Your donation at the game will go towards assisting children at 2 different orphanages in the city as well as providing many essentials for the deprived children housed at the city’s TB Centre.

Please take time out to visit the Dnipro Appeal website at www.dniprokids.com and view the photo gallery as well as read about the things that your donations are helping to provide.

Thank you for your support.

Giving generously pre-match may just produce enough karma to see us through.

Just to let everyone that supported us last know ...

The turnstile collection resulted in just over £1,000 going towards helping the kids in Ukraine.

Any amount raised for a charity is great, but with over 12,000 people in attendance this only equates to less than a miserly 10p each :grr:

To be fair, it's the number of bucket shakers that can make the difference. Most supporters gave generously and there were a few "paper" donations as well.

With a limited number of volunteers, and stopping at peak collecting time to ensure they make the game in time for kick off, we probably end up missing around 70% of the crowd.

It's the downside of a Hibby charity supported by Hibbys, but I would never ask anyone to sacrifice getting in for kick off and supporting the team.
