Who's staying the weekend and what are your plans?

Myself and three pals are on the 1812 train from Waverley on Friday evening. Changed, showered and straight out when we get down!!

Spot of shopping on Saturday, couple of boozers. Casino and possibly the Pleasure Beach. Need to fit a haircut in somewhere too. Clubs on Saturday night. I'm sure there'll be more than a few Hibbies out night...

Game on Sunday and train home on Sunday evening. Drinking on the train back. Working on Monday which is a bit of a nightmare, but oh well. Should be a decent weekend!:greengrin

modern day pricing doesn't favour late bookings.

As it's the West coast line primarily you could look at booking form Glasgow Central to Preston...may get a better price??

Right going for the 8am train from Edinburgh on Sunday , takes just over 5 hours to get there as we have to stop off in Glasgow and Preston. Anyone else taking this route?

Why not fly from Dublin to Blackpool airport? Thought the flights were cheap?

For everyone going, I hope the team treat the game with a bit more respect than last Sunday's in Carlisle.

I was planning on going but have been totally put off by that turgid display. Friendly or no friendly, no team should take the p*ss out of their supporters when they've paid so much to follow them.

In fairness, they were, last time I looked, but as I'll be bringing my new 4-week old Hibee princess with me, , I thought the ferry and car would be the way to go...

A bit of an adventure go brįgh

Marvelous Ryanair flight, takes about half-an-hour and the plane flies what seems about twelve foot over the water, into a runway with a garden shed with BLACKPOOL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT on it. You can walk into town from the suburb it lands in.

Not to be missed.
