I like your optimism, Jack but with just one of those results being recorded in the last thirty-six years I'm not terribly encouraged!

Plus none of them, apart from Napoli, was following a first leg three goal 'doing'. As Napoli had won 4-1 and we at least had an away goal, you could say that coming back from a 3-0 first leg defeat requires a better turnaround than we've ever managed in 55 years of European football.

Sure, I'd love it to happen but I just can't see it.

For the majority of the games mentioned, we had better players that we have now

TBH each of those team would rip the absolute pish out of the current team. Our defence is absolutely horrendous. Its a pitty we couldnt get levein as our manager at least he knows how to build a defence

But away goals did not count double when we played Napoli.

Think you'll find they did.

The away goals rule was definitely in place for that game.
I remember standing on the East terracing when the third goal went in, wondering if we should just hold onto that scoreline. A few minutes later we had scored the fourth.

That's the spirit Jack - it ain't over til its over.

Should be a decent crowd - we are in a European game FFS - who know what will happen.

I will be there to get behind the team
