You do not need to subscribe to Hibs tv to get the match. You need to pay 6 quid via paypal if you wanna watch the game on Hibs tv.

That's good enough confirmation for me mate.

Updates at 5am yet still not on the official site, says to me that they set up the page in the event that it was a go, not because it definitely was on.

Still, I could just be being pessimistic, we all know how up to date the official site can be!

I'm not sure, but I don't think live streams can be viewed on a Mac/Apple - maybe you should check before purchasing?

A VGA cable would suffice - So long as your TV has the slot - which mines does ( I have a Bravia too)

If you are unsure what a VGA cable is - to put it in simple terms - the cable you use to connect a monitor to your PC base unit

Haven't seen the screen for this match, but yes the size is usually quite small.... However when I watch the SPL games through HI live, I put it through my TV with HDMI cables and have on full screen on TV and it's very watchable.

The site has WMP (Windows Media Player) to allow there streams to be viewed. Does Safari not have a wmp plugin?

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/windowsmediaplayerformacosx.html

This should help those apple users.

As for connecting your Vaio to your LCD, if it's a newish laptop (between now and 2 years old) then it'll probably be a HDMI cable.

If not then it will have a VGA output, but you will have to check if your TV has VGA input (usually just call it a PC port) easiest way to check is run through your input devices (AV button) and see if you have a VGA, RGB, or PC channel.

If you do it this way you will also have to connect another cable to your Laptop's headphone jack for sound. A 3.5mm to phono cable. Your TV must also support the output of sound via the VGA channel.

Great news - can someone explain in plain english what you do if your a non subscriber to Hibs TV at the moment. So where do I go to pay my £6, will I get user name and password emailed to me,
what link do I use for viewing the game etc.

Might be worth a sticky at the top as I am sure there will be lots like me wanting a SIMPLE explanation of what is required.

Or I am being thick and its clear!!

Would a HDMI cable from a laptop hooked up to a sony tv work? Is it easy done? Would be great to get it on a big screen, do the hiberniantv streams run smooth?

Can someone confirm if Hibs TV subscribers get this game as part of the subsciption or is it simply a one-off payment?
I have been thinking of joining for a while now, and this might be the cherry on the cake, a £6 saving against an annual membership seems quite attractive, not too sure if it's too late to register as an annual member though?? Anyone?

if your laptop and TV has the HDMI slots, it's easy.
Just stick them in then through channel source on remote change it and find the connection.

HI runs smooth 99% of the time when showing games from Easter Road; Remember this is away and they're using another set-up, so it may not go so well, and they can't be blamed.

Well I can answer my own question, the online annual direct debit goes through in 5 minutes, even though the money doesn't come off for 2 weeks.
Just hope the Maribor game is included in the £34.99 price, if so, BARGAIN:thumbsup:

If you click with your right mouse button on the screen a window should appear with a Full Screen or Zoom command so you can then enlarge the screen.

as i wrote above, haven't seen the screen for today's game coz it's on in the pub, but you can put through TV if you've capability (HDMI), Or sometimes you can click launch in external player, and watch on windows real/media player and on bigger screen. Otherwise double clicking on screen makes it full screen?
The bigger the pic though, the worse the quality of picture IMO.
Unless you have it through TV with HDMI, in which case I've had nothing but good experience (again, from Hibs games at Home though).
