Great goal from Deek yesterday to earn a deserved draw. Might even have snatched a win in the closing stages with Galbraith & Stokes having good opportunities from free-kicks around the box. Still not sure what our first choice line-up will be this season after watching 6 friendlies but fingers crossed that Yogi does & we get the result on Thursday (or at least over the 2 legs) to set the season up.

For the programme buffs: nothing issued yesterday. There was a photocopied teamsheet for the press but not made available to the public so can't be regarded as an ïssue".

Good number of Hibbies in the crowd of 1,145 in the wee town of Dreil just outside Arnhem. Think it fair to say the beer stalls did a roaring trade! Including a fair bit of custom from an ex-Hibee - Matty Jack had travelled over from Germany for the game. Fair few Hibbies got their photo taken with the big man.

Day ended on a bad note for me with the news early evening that ITA trip cancelled. Quick dart back to hotel though & we got alternative trip sorted. Flying Edinburgh to Munich Wednesday, back Saturday. Hire car from Munich. Still to finalise the fine details but happy enough with what we came up.

Bit of a sorry situation with the ITA trip - which I am sure has been covered on other threads. I kinda saw the writing on the wall over the last couple of days but wanted to give ITA the benefit of the doubt in a difficult situation. Anyway, thank goodness for the internet!

Gather the press lads having their travel blues too. Hibs only taking a 40 seat plane so press lads told to make their own arrangements. Tough world chaps - welcome to the world of the fitba fan!

Also had the pleasure of chatting with Anthony Stokes mum & dad over the past few days who have been in Holland with Anthony's wee nephew & neice. They've decided to drive up to Slovenia from Holland, leaving today! Now there's a drive!
