First off thanks to Mikey for allowing me to post this:

Good morning all

I'd just like to make you all aware of a new Hibby website, that I've been working on. www.ihibs.co.uk is the fruition of a lot of research, and a lot of website genius (not by me I hasten to add). It's a 'soccerbase' style website that contains details of all Hibs major competitive games since 1875 along with Hibs teams and scorers. And a few other odds n sods.

There are some errors in there, it's inevitable with research this large so feel free to point them out on the form on the website if you find any.

Other than that: I hope you find it useful.

Great site.

This is interesting:

Scottish Cup
--------Total Won Drawn Lost Scored Conceded
Neutral 53 13 10 30 43 83
Home 226 141 41 44 607 246
Away 165 71 49 45 315 226
Total 444 225 100 119 965 555

It looks like we bottle it at the latter stages conceding 2:1 at neutral venues.

Does the site have a 'feed' of any sort as it may be difficult and time consuming to maintain.

Great work by the statos !

I have a feeling i will be sat in front of my computer for the rest of the day !

Just calculated that i have been to 278 home games in a row. Missed the Stranraer game on 15th August 1998 which we lost 2-1. Noted that Yogi was playing that day !

I remember phoning home from my holiday in Turkey to find out the score and neeeded to phone several people just in case i was been wound up !

Hi, firstly - brilliant site - well done!

Like someone else I was trying to identify my first hibs game and recall it was a pre-season friendly - with GB playing (thats why I went - and stuck!). However, theres no friendlies listed with George - so are they ommitted from inclusion, or is my recollection playing tricks and it wasnt a friendly as I recalled? I think it was pre-'80/'81 season game.

Don't know if anyone knew Alfie and can confirm it was the same guy who was a messenger in the old Scottish Office.

There's been a few improvements recently:

a) Average/max/min home attendancea per season - Average Home Attendances (http://www.ihibs.co.uk/club_records_league_attendance.php)
b) Squads stats per season (season selectable) - Hibs season stats 2010-2011 (http://www.ihibs.co.uk/player_stats_season.php?from=134)
c) Managers - new page showing players selected - Colin Calderwood managerial record (http://www.ihibs.co.uk/manager3.php?id=39)
d) Players - new page showing, managers selected by, players played alongside - Lewis Stevenson career record (http://www.ihibs.co.uk/player3.php?playerid=1038) (Lewis's next appearance will be his 100th for Hibs)

Next up is adding in the minor competition and friendly games which should happen in the next few weeks.

I've had a look at the attendance section as well. What struck me were the contrasts a lot of seasons. Even when Hibs could get massive crowds for the occasional match, a lot of games were watched by pitifully few people, resulting in the average being surprisingly low.

My Dad used to harp on about the fantastic support we used to have, but never mentioned the fact Hibs had a 3 figure attendance in the 50's for a 1st team game.

That's very very good.

Without at all wishing to sound like a pedant: It's Drybrough Cup not Dryborough Cup

And again for settling future arguments, you could add sponsors for each season's competitions e.g. Skol Cup, CIS Cup, Clydesdale Bank SPL etc.

Again those are just suggestions for something that looks great at the moment.

Poor spelling is a big bug bear of mines so it's been corrected - thanks for pointing this out. I'll add the sponsor listing to my todo list that's a great suggestion, and I'll add in shirt sponsors too.
