Anyone know what the script is with this? There's been a sign up on the Bridges for about 2 years saying it's "Coming Soon". It's the site currently undeveloped due to the demolition of the buildings damaged in the Cowgate fire in 2002. Had a look on the website but it's all Flash -driven marketing waffle without any real information.:rolleyes:

No idea mate, noticed that as well.

I went onto 'the skinny' site a while back that's advertised but it wasn't of much interest.

SoCo was the name of a bar/pub/venue during the fringe a couple of years ago, went there a few times for a peeve but closed after the festival. It must just be the banner hasnt been taken down.

SoCo is the name of the proposed development for the site. There is a big billboard advertising it that has been visible from the Bridges for a couple of years now.

did a bit of digging on this today and as far as i can see they are still trying to put funding in place, has been on the go for a couple of years now.

Well there was a venue there on the site a couple of years ago as well under the same name.

Having passed by the South Bridge only a few days ago, I can tell you that nothing has been built on the site as of yet, could still be a few years before the project even starts.

Work has started on the Urban Garden part, going to be a beach theme for the festival.
