First Division side Stirling Albion have become the first Scottish senior club to be owned by their fans.
The Stirling Albion Supporters Trust has agreed a £300,000 deal to clear debts and make a one-off payment to Peter McKenzie, chairman for 26 years.



McKenzie, 84, has agreed to write off the £1.2m loan that was due to him.

I'm sure that the old boys family will be gutted at the 1.2 million never being paid, although the probably would never have got it back anyway.

It'll be interesting to see how this works out. Best of luck to them.

OMG I'm a club owner :greengrin .....not a fan but put in my £40 to help my home town team. I know quite a few of the guys involved in this campaign, well done to them the club would not have survived much longer.
