CELTIC are excited to announce they will be turning the volume up next season and bringing the electric atmosphere back to the stands with the launch of their very own vuvuzela.

The novelty plastic horn is a national phenomenon in South Africa and has become a fans’ favourite during this summer's World Cup.

After demand from supporters, especially our young fans, green and white vuvuzelas will go on sale towards the end of next week at all official outlets.

The club are looking forward to raising the temperature and bringing the buzz back to Paradise as the fans get behind Neil Lennon and his team next season.

i think ill give parkhead a miss next season :agree:

I don't see the big hype around these... it's not new... look around the stand any given saturday and you will see a fair amount of children with horns. This one is just slightly bigger. It's only become more annoying because it's a full stand of people blowing all at once. I hope no one else gets involved as if the fans wanted to be blowing horns, they could have been for years.

Just thinking about this. not sure if it is still the case but I remember going to games where the cane in the flag was removed as it was deemed a dangerous weapon, so tell me, will this still be the case with these bloody annoying pieces of plastic?

It wouldn't take long before one is thrown onto a pitch. Mass ban follows. Result.

Don't know about these ones, but a lot of them are designed to collapse on impact, so can't be used as a weapon. Obviously nothing to stop fans throwing them on however.

Thing is if you told the average Celtc [spellcheck as per flag] fan that the are bringing in Vuvuzelas, they are most likely to ask, is he a midfielder or a striker? After they have asked if he is celtc-minded of course.

It might be a good idea for us all to take trumpets to the matches if there is any chance it could drown out the vile and bigoted songs of the old firm. :agree:

Only when it comes to their away support, and even then only once Celtc are in front in the game - that's the only time you ever hear them these days.

The self proclaimed 'Greatest fans in the World' generate zero/zilch/nae atmosphere at Parkhead unless they're singing their ripped off Liverpool song before a European game kicks off or they're singing songs about Ireland when they're playing the Huns.

60,000 boring *******s.

What are the odds on away fans being banned from taking any in, as they'll be classed as a potential weapon?

Would you really put it past Strathclyde's finest?

Methinks a special ward in Glesga Southern General will be opened for the removal of the said instrument from rear end of trumpet enthusiasts. :cool2:
