How's the view from up there on your high horse?
Behave yourself, it was clearly a joky comment. What do you honestly expect on a site where it's probably safe to assume that the majority are supporting Algeria?

Suppose if you're going to go in for the OF-hating thing you might as well do it properly. :cool2:

The commentator asked how the "Argies" would be feeling watching that.

I think they, along with the rest of the footballing world, would have been pissing themselves laughing at the Champions Elect getting out passed and out classed by Algeria, a team Rooney claimed they could get passed even under-strengthed.

England have cracked under the pressure. They cannot handle it and I am LOVING it.

They were indeed like France last night, which suggests all is not well in the camp. What's the point of throwing Crouch on and not providing crosses? That's all he does - head crosses. Heskey represented their best chance up front and yet he was subbed.

Really though messrs Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney should be asking what are they doing? Barry was mince as well.

Did England draw their 2nd game in 66?

Sir David Gray
18-06-2010, 09:23 PM
That was woeful - absolutely woeful.

After 180 minutes of poor football, having only managed to score a single goal, it is unbelievable that the odds are still stacked in their favour to progress to the last 16.

If they beat Slovenia next Wednesday, not only will they definitely qualify, they'll probably finish as group winners, unless the USA were to hammer Algeria.

There was just nothing at all in that side that said to anyone "we are contenders". Rooney was garbage and Gerrard and Lampard contributed nothing.

Rooney's comments were ridiculous as well. What else does he expect from people who have travelled thousands of miles and spent thousands of pounds to get to South Africa in order to watch England and then get treated to that crap?

If I was Capello, I would drop Rooney for the Slovenia match, not only because of what he said but he is clearly feeling the pressure of the occasion and it is showing in his performances.

Personally, I'm loving it. :faf:

After watching them struggle against both USA and Algeria it's obvious that they can't deal with the pressure heaped upon them by the media and the England fans. They will be ****ting bricks against Solvenia from the off and that will only benefit the opposition.

Sir David Gray
18-06-2010, 09:53 PM
Basically this is the state of play for England;

Win against Slovenia means that they definitely qualify and probably finish as group winners.

Draw against Slovenia means that England's draw will need to be high scoring and they'll have to hope that the USA-Algeria match is either a goalless draw or a low scoring draw. If England draw and there is a winner between USA-Algeria, England will be out.

If England lose, they are out.
