According to Yogi in today's EEN.

There's a wire wool underneath the surface which gives the roots plenty to hold onto which means there won't be too many divots. Then you see the bits and pieces that will be going on around it, the green astroturf which will be laid on the running track.

Never read anything about this before.

Think he means the track between the stands and the pitch, which is currently ash. This will be replaced with Astroturf.

I think it means a running track for the lines man so you wont see the pitch being cut up from them running up and down :confused:

That is normally referred to as a run-off area. I assume that's what he was talking about.
