What is with these orange heeled boots that almost every player is wearing.

Have Nike got some sort of promotional sponsership rights for the whole tournament or something. I can't ever remember seeing so many players from different teams wear the same boots - they look rank as well :jamboak:

Think they are the latest boot to come out, the first with new moveable stud technology. There was a bit about them in FourFourTwo a couple of issues ago.

it seems the days of a simple pair of Adidas world cups or Puma kings are a thing of the past, ah the good old days

"Moveable stud technology" - that sounds literally the most useless technological advance unless you intend on doing some Travolta-esque boogying in your football boots.

Any player that isn't a) very good and b) either a winger or striker and wears these (or any other) daft multi-coloured efforts should be slapped about a bit then put into a pair of good Puma Kings, Adidas World Cups or similar.

If they want to be prancing footwear models, then a change of career is the way to go IMO.

"They look rank" all right. That means they are a must-have item! Parents the world over will be shelling out soon if not already.

Not sure if the Italian team socks are must-have. They look like someone has trailed a white paintbrush over them.
