View Full Version : There's NO Hearts Strip Under The New East Stand

I had a wee chat with someone this morning about the shirt that the yam bint buried. That person was adamant that the shirt isn't there. Once the demolition was completed a further layer of soil was removed before the construction of the stand began.

The following pictures will explain it more clearly.

These pictures show how the overall demolition was progressing at that time and where the shirt was buried............

These pictures show how much additional soil was removed, leaving the ground completely flat.

All this talk of Hearts falling on their backside has got me thinking about previous occasions when they have ballsed up.

Perhaps someone has a picture? All I could manage was this.

That large pile of soil is actually from where the front few rows of the new stand will be.

http://www.hibeesbounce.com/gallery/data/500/medium/21st_May_37_.JPG (http://www.hibeesbounce.com/gallery/member-galleries/p31463-21st-may.html)

This is illustrated in the bottom right of the above photo.

The rest of the land (which will be the floor of the indoor concourse) is at the same level in both Mikey's photos in post 2.

The 1st phase of work levelled the whole lot (as in your 1st photo). The 2nd phase involved digging out a few metres at the front to accommodate the front rows. This is the pile of earth in your 2nd photo.

Anyway, the hysteria surrounding this strip burial is getting out of control!!

I don't think we can blame that disaster on them, as the mists clear, I'm sure it was much more recently. Definitely a disaster in Dundee, I just can't place it....:hmmm:

Exactly.

As the contractor's said, they went in after the demolition mob and removed a further layer of soil. And that removal was deep enough to scoop up the buried shirt.

Wrong bridge, FR. :tsk tsk:

I believe that there was an outbreak of influenza about 25 years ago - could that be what you're thinking of?

It was very narrowly localised to a group of visitors from Edinburgh who had gathered somewhere on Tannadice Street to play a game of football.

Made them come over all wobbly, and I think they lost the game.

I'd be quite happy if the maroon rag was there.

It gives our players the opportunity to trample all over it every time they play on the hallowed ground. There's no need to wait for Derby days any longer.

Speaking to my mate who is in construction, wasnt part of the hibs stand but he had looked at the pictures and he said that soil and a mix of hardcore was added, not removed, this would be to make the ground a bit more stable for bringing in everything. He said that those pictures actually look like new soil being added as the second one you can see more of the advertisement boards at the pitch than the last one when everything is leveled.

I think that horrible turd stained strip may still be under there.

So what if it is there!

If anyone is daft enough to think that man-made fibre replica top made in Taiwan will somehow place a curse on us then they should go and see someone.

I've heard of fans influencing results but never replica tops. Especially ones buried under tons of mud.

If there is one there it's in an appropriate place...underneath us. That's where Hearts as a club will be in every possible way for the forseeable future.

It will cost the demolition company dearly to excavate that part of the site and put it back to the way it is now.

It seems everything jambos do (fans included) costs them more and more with very little return. Also, the fans are as good as the club in failed PR stunts.

Keep them coming you jambo fuds.
