A mate just rang me and said we (blackpool) are supposed to be playing you lot (Hibs) in a pre season friendly. I asked him how he knew, it was a friend that told him. Now how his friend knows , i have no idea, but hopefully this is a goer.

I feel my post has kind of been overlooked haha. Holloway said it's definitely happening to the whole audience at the grass roots football show when asked about their pre-season. No doubt about it.

It was surely Blackpool v Hibs last year during Mixus tenure. This term, under Yogi, he's been pretty much unstinting in his support. What about Salford v Hibs?

Did he specifically mention Hibs?

That tournament they are in is between 19th and 25th July so if we play them afterwards as you say it would likely be around the two europa league dates (29/7 and 5/8). We already have Carlisle Sunday 1st Aug so it will either be a midweeker or Sunday 8th August. We could be in darkest europe on Thurs 5th Aug so wont be aranging anything for that saturday.

I was hoping for a decent away day in England on Sat 17th or 24th July.

Yep, he said Hibernian. Folk were asking him how their pre-season plans were affected by going up and he said they were just going ahead with the same ones as planned and rattled off the fixtures, no datesz.

Cheers, it says looking to "end" their pre season so a game between Europa 2nd leg and SPL starting looks likely.

If this comes off, i asked my local club if they would accommodate some buses, and they will. They said they could take 500, so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Saturday 17th July won't be possible as Bloomfield Road is hosting the Northern Rail Cup Final (rugby league) on the Sunday - if Leigh win their semi final then I'll be there for all weekend anyway.
