Mesut Ozil of Germany

Steven Pienaar is key to South Africa having any chance of getting out of their group.

I think Diego Milito will be one of the best forwards at the World Cup, possibly a contender for the Golden Boot

Ozil,Marin,Kroos,Kiessling or Neuer of germany

Also javi martinez of spain has looked good this season for athletic club bilbao and could do quite well if given a chance.

Valter Birsa (Slovenia)
Christian Eriksen (Denmark)
Marek Hamsik (Slovakia)

And maybe Luis Suarez (Uruguay)

Obviously players like Ozil, di Maria, etc. will be stand outs but from what I've seen, the 4 above might be the surprise (young) stars of the WC.

Will Milito get much playing time behind Messi, Higuain and Tevez though?

As someone else mentioned earlier I think Javi Martinez could have a cracking tournament if given the chance. :agree:

Hamsik is excellent, i cant believe he is still with Napoli and not a bigger club.

Alexis Sanchez is someone i have seen a bit of but has been getting rave reviews, so i will certainly be watching him closely

tevez and higuain spent most of the time on the bench in qualifying IIRC, might be wrong though

Angel Di Maria (Argentina) - with defences keen to close out Messi, he'll run riot :agree:

Beat me to, thats who I was going to say...I reckon Mexico will get through the group stages easily enough, dunno if they'll do much after that. He'll be a star of the tournament I think though.

You may laugh but there is a distinct lack of big solid backs nowadays so I will be tipping Bamba and a wad load of cash for Hibs.

Maybe not a surprise but think Van Persie is a good shout for top scorer if he stays fit. Holland should go far and he takes penalties and free kicks too.
