McGeady has done nothing to show he's worth more than £5m tops. Is he worth £5.5m more than Steven Fletcher for example?

I cannot believe Celtic never chartered their own plane to fly him to Russia when they got the £8.3M bid. A good SPL player but that is it, would maybe do alright at a lower premiership club but the Russians are crazy if they think he is worth more than £5M (and that includes the obligatory old firm 'tax' added on)

With £8M Celtic could easily buy 5 or 6 players that would walk into any other SPL side. I just hope that if they get that sort of money their first call wont be to Petrie about Stokes. At least Rod will know they have money to spend and can quite easily say if that huddy McGeady is going for £8M+ then thats £5M+ for Stokes.

If Celtic don't sell him for £8.5m they may well live to regret the decision. Last season was his first as an automatic first team pick. Lot's of promise but often no end product. Lawell should bundle him into a taxi force the issue. As a winger he comes into the bracket of being a luxury player. Celtic are not in the position to be carrying luxury players. Lennon would love that kind of money to spend on players.

An epl team really should be taking a chance on him.If Fletch is worth 7/8 mill then mcgready must be worth around the same, if not more.The only thing he dosent have at present is decent players around him

That's ridiculous. I could see it if they were playing in the EPL, but for a player based in Scotland it's stupid.

I can't see him going to Moscow, but if an English club offered that, I think he'd be off.

I have never once seen anything to suggest McGeady is worth anything more than £4m tops. More to the point, neither have a number of my Tic pals, who frequently describe him as 'Riordan without the wow factor or goals.' :tee hee: The last time I can honestly remember him displaying anything of note was the 07/08 season. Since then he's flattered to deceive IMO.
