I like both of those kits, better than our away kit imo.

Hope the dont put that white piping stuff up the front of the Hibs top like in the Dundee home shirt. I hate all that fussy cr*p.

Keep it simple.

Please !!!

Pretty sure HoMoFC used to have an Ajax type strip at one point :dunno:

Wasn't it Harpic, John?

Clean round the bend? :cool2:

But you're right enough - 1972-73. Apologies for the repulsive images - those of a sensitive disposition might prefer not to click on this link.

I think those Dundee strips look pretty good, actually.

Pretty smart the both of them, for Dundee's away one Hibs shouldve had a similar pattern with the middle stripe being Green and the rest being Black, would look pretty good IMO, i'm happy with the Mint though.:agree:

The story I've heard is that originally the players were supposed to take turns taking the strips home for washing (Ed: Hearts players washing? Shurely shome mishtake there....) and one of them took the strips to the steamie and boiled them resulting in the red-white-and-blue all running together into the mucky diarrhoea colour they wear today.

This however, I am assured, is an urban myth (Ed: thought so. Hearts players washing...).

One theory I've heard advanced is that the name of the club inspired the idea that the shirts should be the colour of blood. (Ed: "Giving their hearts' blood for the cause, etc? YUK!)

However, if you Google "Apprentice Boys of Derry" ....

http://www2.apprenticeboys.co.uk/features

.... you will discover that the dysentery and light blue colours of the HoMFC badge MIGHT just have another point if origin....

With that said, we should never miss an opportunity to bring up their early Elvis/Evel Knievel outift.

Elvis and Evil Knievel were Apprentice Boys? :cool2:

I quite like that white pyjama affair. Makes them look like one of those daft American marching bands.

Or maybe a flute band?????
