Or preparing the "i'm mental" defence possibly. Should have just told them he was a season ticket holder at Tynecastle.

No doubt some of the more erudite and eloquent will offer an incisive exegesis as to this man and his mindset.
For me he is either insane or attempting to feign insanity. Maybe he has a hero-worship thing going on with Sutcliffe. Maybe he is purely evil (although that is never a helpful term).
Who knows?
One thing for sure though, it won't be long before Wansell, Sounes, Wilson et-al will be fighting over the publishing rights.

I think the moment has already passed as soon as the newspapers had decided how this one ends.

I'm not defending him. However, I don't think the newspapers being judge, jury and executioner before a trial has even happened is very useful.

Well if he's a big Sutcliffe fan, he should know full well how little point there is in pleading insanity. Sutcliffe was convicted and sent to a normal prison, despite strong evidence to suggest he was mad at the times of the offences.

A couple of years later, he was moved to Broadmoor, as the authorities decided he might be mad after all.

ITN reporting that he's employed Sutcliffes legal team.

They have a success rate which is on a par with Donald Finlay

Wonder if it's something in their water that turns normal everyday Yorkshire men into blood thirsty prostitute murderers.:agree::greengrin
