Is Vlad taking the sub over to Dunkirk today? (I was actually amazed to see that other people were involved in the evacuation, as I thought Hearts had won Britain's wars single handedly).

It's been a long time since I was at school but IIRC my history books said that indeed it was Vlad who evacuated all our plucky lads, in his submarine back to Blighty (via the Baltic Sea, because he knows those waters like no man or beast :agree:).

All the other boats and dinghies that day were sent by the media and the SFA, conspiring to draw attention to Vlad's evacuation masterplan and ruin it. It's to their eternal shame that they would side with the forces of fascism if it meant an opportunity to traduce the fine institution that is Homfc :bitchy:

According to several sources, the evacuated troops included a battalion of Lithuanian hussars. The War Office had to pay five hundred pounds (old money) a head to "register" these soldiers with the Allies. Sadly none of them ever saw combat, succumbing to a wide range of injuries during training.

This (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8709871.stm) would bugger them if they had qualified for Europe.

It appears that even if they qualify they will be blocked from going in:

Found this on Wikipedia after watching K-19 earlier...

In 2006, the K-19 was purchased by Vladimir Romanov, who once served on the sub as a conscript, with the intention of "Turning it into a Moscow-based meeting place to build links between submarine veterans from Russia and other countries." So far, the plans remain on hold, and many of K-19's survivors have objected to them.

Does that ******** ever follow through on anything?

It's probably been nearer 5, but he threatened to get it right for the first season (edit: 3 months) or so, before it all went comically Pete Tong.

It's hard to believe it's five years since he took over at Tynecastle. Do you think he gets the tricks wrong on purpose, or is he just sh*t?

Money, bank - bank, money, huh ha hah hah.

Vlad goes to the Psychiatrists and the Psychiatrist says: 'What's the problem' Vlad says, 'I think I'm becoming a kleptomaniac. 'The Psychiatrist says, 'Here take these tablets and if you're no better in a week' ..... 'Bring me a colour TV'

Just like that, fank very much, huh huh huh.

One of my yam mates told me that at their AGM they planned to be in the black by the end of 2010/2011 season. The only way for that to be possible, because it's ludicrous to suggest it otherwise, would be debt for equity I think. So you've heard right.
