Won't be suprised if he's taken his own life.

He was very visibly distraught in the wake of Brittany's death when speaking to the media.

I can't begin to imagine what life must be like after having lost your spouse at quite such a young age.

Tragic story all around really.

Edit: Just read something which suggested it may have been a sudden heart attack, as he had previously complain of cardiac problems. There is substantial evidence to support that intense grief can lead to cardiac stresses, so perhaps a correlation.
