Would also seem that the folk who had heard we were playing Carlisle could be right as it's pretty close to Dumfries..

Excellent. I know a QOTS fan so I might be able to meet up with him before the game.
Could be a good wee trip mid July, last time we were down for the Scottish cup quarter final was a brilliant day out!!

used to travel to Easter road from Lockerbie, could do it in a little over and hour, the 427 through Moffat, great road for flooring it.......another 25 minutes or less to Dumfries...

Would allow nearly 2 hrs Edinburgh to Dumfries. I used to live in Moffat and travelling to ER took just short of an hour and a half, plus allow another 30 mins to Dumfries, as the A701 is not the best of roads. Now live just outside Liverpool so I am made up as I am going back home to visit my mum in Moffat that weekend, so will be able to take in the match.
For anyone wanting a good night out on the way back to Edinburgh,
Moffat is a great stopping off place and it is the local Gala day that day with a big bonfire and disco to finish off the days celebrations, usually goes on to the early hours.Plenty of hotels and B & B's in the town to make a weekend of it.http://www.hibs.net/images/smilies/thumbs%20up.gif

Should hopefully be at this one, depending on whether Leigh rugby reach the league cup final as that will mean a weekend on the lash in Blackpool. Like the sound of this Carlisle game as well though.

It was yes,but he was still gash. I know we have been linked with him as he's been released by Falkirk, but he was poor first time around, we don't need him again.

We played Queens at Palmerston in the League Cup early 90's on a Tuesday and won 3-0 - recall a big Hibs support, filled half a stand (not the one they used for us last time) and a terracing

Any trip that gives one the opportunity to wear corduroys inside wellington boots and strike an urbane 'man of destiny' pose as the background rolling hills undulate towards a murky skyline has my personal vote.
Yes, I shall relish this outing.
