Rated highly from what I've read. Such a tragic time for his family.

It's pretty awful to think that there are people dying of things like heart attacks when they are only a year older than me.

It's quite a scary thought as it's something that you usually associate with people in their 50's and 60's.

Yes mate I agree. Very very sad. As a follower of the GAA Gaelic games there have been several similar tragic young deaths in the last 10-15 years. As a supporter of Tyrone at county level I am always reminded of the untimely passing of Cormac McAnallen. He died aged only 24 yet in that time had achieved so much at all levels of GAA football including Tyrone's first ever All Ireland senior victory only the year before his death.

Such a shame. Seems he had a history of trouble with his health. Anyone think that too much pressure is being put on young footballers, not trying to blame anyone just saying.

I don't think so really. It's just an unfotunate case where a young guy had a heart defect. These things happen. Think about the millions of youth players whose health is greatly increased through rigorous training. The reason that these cases seem to be "on the up" is because football receives a lot more publicity these days, with coverage and news from all over the world.

Such a tragic loss, thoughts with the young mans family.

It's strange that they said he had a history of collapsing yet it never said if they found the problem. I just hope all tests were carried out on this lad and not just ignored. Another one taken far to early.

I wouldnt say so, they are no fitter or under anymore pressure than say a middle distance runner or any athelete really, I would think if u have a history of health problems that doing a job that directly affects your health isnt the best idea, just my opinion tho.
