Like the underdog and no disrespect to United who have had a good season but would like them to complete their fairytale!!:agree:

Different if we had finished 5th!

Whilst I usually like to support the underdog I'm not going to today. A United win benefits Hibs which is good enough in itself but they have also had a very good season and IMHO deserve something from it. No offence to Ross County, who if they do win thoroughly deserve to be there as they will have beaten 3 of the top 4 teams in the Premier League, but I do not want another First Division team representing Scotland in the Europa League.

I know it's probably been articulated on other threads but if Utd lose what round do they go into? And us?

And if Utd win? What round they - what round us

and why?

cup winner takes preference, so (I think) this is right -

UTD LOSE

Ross - 4th qualifying round
Utd - 3rd qualifying round
Us - 2nd qualifying round

UTD WIN

Utd - 4th qualifying round
Us - 3rd qualifying round
Motherwell - 2nd qualifying round

Thought they might have entered at a later stage.

Couldn't imagine the likes of Liverpool or Juventus being drawn with them.:bitchy:

I hope it's a high scoring game with the winner winning by the odd goal.

Not really that bothered about the winner, however as above, if it benefits Hibs, then I suppose Utd to win.

Correct but 4th qualifying round is actually the first round proper and called the play off. Win that and you're in the group stage.

I cant make up my mind who I want to win; really want Hibs to go in at the later round but would rather see County lift the cup than United..

Hopefully a hugely entertaining game with United winning by the odd goal. It benefits Hibs to come in at the qualifying stage a round later and I'm on holiday when the 2nd round 1st leg is played. So c'mon the Arabs.

Just getting ready to head off to the match with my Utd-supporting mate. Hope it's a good game, with the Arabs coming out on top. As well as being good for us, I've had a soft for Utd ever since my best mate at primary school was a fan. Their fans also seem to have a great dislike for our friends from the other side of the city!

United win. With the cruel twist of penalties at the end to decide:devil:

I agree with your point entirely but you can't say RC don't deserve the chance if they win the cup.

I'm going across the grain and want Ross County to win. Friends up that way are saying the place has gone mad for the team. I almost always support the underdog in these situations, and it makes little difference to me which qualifying round we enter.
