At least we can now draw a line under what has been a season of great hopes and great disappointments.
Disappointing cup exits to teams we really would have expected to beat and poor performances against a duff Hearts side. Good performances at Ibrox and Celtic park were cancelled out by shockers at Perth and Hamilton.
However, despite a dreadful run of results we have somehow managed to finish in 4th place on the strength of a good run in mid season. .
We can now look forward to competing in Europe once again after too long an absence and we can also look forward to playing in a newly completed stadium with an improved pitch and atmosphere.
Yogi has earned a reprieve and hopefully he can address the major failings in the side over the summer. Whether or not he has the abilty to do that is another question. Whatever happens , no doubt next season will be yet another roller coaster ride. I can`t wait.
