Whilst our form has been poor since the 10th February, what is really annoying is that our rivals have hardly been impressive during this time.

Hibs had 43 points from 23 games after the 2-2 draw against Aberdeen. Our lead over Hertz was 15 points with a game in hand. Our lead over Well was 9 points with a game in hand. Our lead over Utd was 4 points with a game in hand.

Since then we have played 14 games and have 51 points meaning we have taken a disappointing 8 points out of a possible 42 points. Which obviously is shocking. Killie (H) and Falkirk (A) being our only wins. But what of our rivals.

Hertz had 28 points from 24 games and now have 48 points from 37 games. Meaning they have picked up 20 points out of a total 39 available. Not exactly brilliant form. Their wins being Hibs (H & A ), Killie, Falkirk and Hamilton (all H) and Aberdeen (A). Hardly good results against teams playing well!

Well had 34 points from 24 games and now have 52 points from 37 games. meaning they have picked up 18 points out of a total of 39 points available. Again not exactly brilliant form. Their wins being Hibs (H twice), Hertz (H & A), Killie (H) and St.J (A). Ditto - hardly good results against teams playing well!

Only Utd have picked up an acceptable % of points - 24 points out of a total 39 points.

If it is not stating the obvious this has been a poor end to the season. However, our closest rivals can hardly gloat as their form is hardly that of world-beaters! And if only we had done the business against each of them the gap would have been something for us to be positive. If we had not lost two stupid goals against Hertz and 4 goals in the last 23 minutes against Well, things could have looked a lot better.

Funny you should mention that game against the Sheep, it was after that game our defence started to leak heavier than a burst pipe in Altnaharra, losing 36 league goals between mid February and now, a ridiculous amount of goals in just three months. Before we played the Huns just after Xmas, Hibs had the third best defensive record in British football.

WTF happened? It's just Hibs usual 2nd half of season slump. :grr:

Yep i'm sure we had the joint best defensive record with Rangers and Leeds, hard to believe really.
