I see the dimensions are 105m x 68m. Thats the same as Arsenals and Man U's. So its good enough for them its good enough for us.

Pity our players will get knackered quicker as there is more grass to cover.

What are the current pitch dimensions anyway? Will the difference be noticeable?

Well maybe we should sign or play someone that has a bit of pace if this is the case.

the touchline is an extra 6 metres towards the east but the technical area is getting extended to so that it matches fifa rules for international games so not sure how much the pitch will actually be extended

does that mean that we will use some width in the team next season?

I thought the pitch was being moved nearer the West, not the East Stand.

According to Google Earth's wee measuring tool, it's 105M x 64M.

Exactly how accurate that is is anybody's guess.....

I think it is to attract international matches which will bring in additional revenue, good thinking.

Well according to;

it's 112 x 74 yards, ofcourse I'm not sure how old that information is (if correct at all).

That would make it roughly 112 x 68 metres?...

Possibly not right afterall... :rolleyes:

Theatre of dreams eh?

NB: Man U would be the team to have a friendly against for opening the new stand!

Width???:dunno: Never heard of it. What it does mean tho is that we could maybe squeeze another 5' 5" central midfielder onto our bigger pitch.

I'd heard we were looking at a 4G pitch.

Anyone else heard anything similar ??
