We have the second worse defensive record in the SPL.

Common denominator = Hughes.

Last week in the EEN, Hughes said he was only looking to bring in "1 or 2" more players in the summer. If that happens, we are in deep doo-doo for next season.

...and in Oct/Nov a bit of December we only conceded 5 in 11 games with Hogg and Bamba playing well and had the best defensive record in the league.

Has Hughes been managing Falkirk and Hibs this season? I'm sure there's something in the rules about that.

No, but he was responsible for putting together most of the Falkirk squad, and he was manager when they missed relegation last season by a whisker.

And, lt's be hones, the Falkirk fans were telling us what we now see for ourselves about his lack of tactical awareness, poor substitutions, not getting the best out of players, etc, etc.

Yogi could do no wrong with showing the team a replay of the Barca vs Inter 2nd leg. They might pick up some tips on commitment, organisation and on the basics of how to defend for your life!

Ok. Lihe pretty **** this morning but we are still only one of two teams outside the ugly's with a positive goal difference. The Yams are -10 but hey, they kept a clean sheet last night and they got 1 point at home and we got.......1 point as well...hmmmmm. Who would you rather watch?

Hughes took over them in the first division, got them promoted, kept them up for a few years, got to a couple of Scottish league cup semi finals, a Scottish cup final and Europe, when he leaves it looks like they will go back where they were to the first division.

Falkirk fans didn't rate McBride either and until he was injured he was probably the best player in the team sitting 3rd in the league.

Hughes didn't sign any of our current defence and he's missed our best centre half off and on since January, when we were challenging for 2nd place still.

Unitl we got injuries we had one of the best defensive record in the UK.

We tried to sign players in January and we will sign players in the summer to improve the defence further.

I'm failing to see how Falkirk's record this year has any significance other than they are worse than when Hughes was there?

Erm, seem to remember we had the 2nd best behind Rangers not so long ago, short memory syndrome eh!

Maybe we'll just blame Yogi and forget about having no RB, Bamba losing form, Hanlon being injured and Hogg being pish........oh, and then the midfield deciding to disappear for 4 months.

Lets not worry though we can always replace these players with Cregg, Stevenson and Benji.......that'll make a huge difference to the team......NOT!
