Blackpool.

I want to sample this unique atmosphere that can only be created at Bloomfield Road.

Seriously - Wouldn't say no to a trip to Newcastle. Not far to travel and we all speak the same language.

Manchester United at Old Trafford.

It's not going to happen though so another couple of trips to the north of England would be fantastic. I really enjoyed my time down at Blackburn and Bolton last year.

Maybe Blackpool and Wigan or something like that.

A few 'sensible' games against lower league opposition for fitness purposes. Always enjoy trips to Dunfermilne so wouldn't mind that, Raith Rovers again maybe, Livingstone for easy access and possible A N other. A decent wee trip to the North of England, Newcastle or Sunderland would be good, posssibly even as far south as an Everton or Blackburn? Then a decent English or European team at ER to finish off the preparations. Aston Villa, Birmingham, Fulham..... someone of that calibre would be really good.

Honestly one of the strangest games Ive been at, was so bad the rain was pishing through the stand :faf:. Raith subs were standing on the seats trying to get cover in the dugouts, then that river had flooded at the bottom of the hill.

Anywhere in England would be fine, as it suits everyone.

1. The nutters get to mob up and cause bother.

Me too. My brother lives in Crosby, was based there for the Bolton game.

Best away support I have been in for ages at that game, would hope we could do the same at Goodison.

Mind you I was there for the Spurs game. I have a soft spot for Everton, but Goodison is a dump.

I like his quote:

"I think any games will be away from home although I'd also imagine we'll have plenty of bounce matches down at East Mains which, again, is the beauty of having our own training centre available whenever we need it."

Probably wasn't a dig at the Jambos but I'm taking it as one! Nice one John.

Get away, I've been a Bolton fan all my life but was in the away end at the Reebok last year and didn't regret a second of it, though I must admit it was a bit weird looking over to the Bolton end and seeing a raft of people that I recognised!

If this Leicester rumour is true then I'd be happy with that, but I think Huddersfield away would be a good test and a good day out.

My ideal pre-season friendly would be away against Largs Thistle.
Thistle are in the SJFA Stagecoach Superleague Premier League, the same as Irvine Meadow who we had a very interesting game against back in January. Irvine showed a lot of determination and skill as evidenced by the 3-0 final score.

Largs Thistle's ground at Barrfields in Largs town also just happens to be 500 metres from my house... :greengrin
