The players own awards ceremony was at ER last night, with the players themselves voting for the winners. The following awards were given out:

Goal of the Season - Derek Riordan (v St Mirren away)
Save of the Season - Graeme Smith (v Celtc away)
Attacker of the Season - Anthony Stokes
Midfielder of the Season - Liam Miller
Defender of the Season - Ian Murray
Academy Player of the Year - Scott Taggart
Young Player of the Year - David Wotherspoon
Player's Player of the Year - Liam Miller

I think that's them all, although alcohol may have clouded my memory :greengrin

So the players named Stokes as attacker of the season? Thought they all hated him - is that not the rumour?

Not for the players it wasn't

They were all on juice and water - they're training this morning.

few things i noticed last night

1) rod and hughes are inseparable
2) all players behaved themselves, stokes wouldn't even eat his chocolate "thing", also he doesn't like salmon. Nice Kid though :greengrin
3) nish slouches in his seat, very similar to his slouch on the pitch. professional footballers shouldn't slouch IMO
4) stott has put on the beef
5) buckstone roofing do "roofing" and victor paris do "bathrooms"

very enjoyable evening, despite saying after the derby i didn't want to set foot in the place (ER) ever again, i feel reinvigorated for the remaining 2 games after chatting to the players and feel a tad optamistic.

:notworthy:

what would you know about sitting in a chair. Half of you just go along to moan at people sitting in seats, there's only about 5% of people who know how to sit in a seat correctly...:greengrin

apparently 5% of the people at the awards dinner thought Nish was sitting perfectly in the seat.

Pleased Ian Murray got the recognition he deserved

Mark Brown should be keeper of the season - on the basis he didnt have any howlers

Were any of the players drinking orange juice? If so, did any of them knock theirs over?
