A mention for John Rankin who was outstanding for hibs today.his tackling and general play were excellent and he didn't deserve to be on the losing side.still gets ott stick from our "support" imo.

thought he played ok, just a pity there isnt more players willing to get stuck in when results are going our way. If they arent winning games they should be at least trying and sadly a lot of them appear to have given up

Agreed. Our best player today when it mattered.

He deserve's a break from the anti-Rankin mob. Tried his heart out today. Won us the penalty and had our other best chance which the Hearts Goalie done well to save. Add that to his tenacious tackling and closing down he was head and shoulders above any other Hibs player today.

Totally agree. My dad's his biggest critic and even he said Rankin would be MoM.

Rankin was my man of the match, one of only 3 players to get pass marks.

He gets completely ott stick, and I think he could be an integral part of our midfield next season.

I said he edged out a couple of players last week to motm. This week he was head and shoulders above Thicot, who was in turn head and shoulders above everyone else.

Well played JR. Particularly enjoyed the kung foo kick on the painted man.

im not his biggest fan, but he was our best player today so fair play to him. though I think I could have jumped from the stand and out performed most on our team, and im gash!

not his greatest fan - in fact not a fan at all - but credit where credit is due. Got stuck right in today.

Rankin played very well. Tired in the later second half when it was so obvious that he was having to cover for Miller as well. Miller should have been hooked 2-3 minutes before they equalised - why couldn't Yogi see that.

:agree: really good display with passion and some decent passing to go with tackling and closing down..just a shame he was a tad on his own in midfield work wise

Our best player IMO. A one man midfield today...

...although that says much about the tactics and his fellow midfielders' performances as well.

Thought he was alright today, he seems to get out of position a lot though and this is why he seems to be running about like a headless chicken, may just be down to Yogis tactics and he has to cover alot of ground, still dont think he is good enough though.

Im not Rankins biggest fan and have given him stick in the past. However, today and in a few games recently he has been one of the best players in our team credit where credits due

Thicot ran him close IMHO, but Rankin did well. Shame about the rest.

Rankin was excellent today. As always he gave his all and never hid. Shame about the 'performance' of the other 10 players in green.

Rankin was good today, but I wouldn't say excellent. He misplaced quite a few passes like the rest of the team. Tbh, when he's MotM what does that say about the rest of the team? They clearly don't give a ****.

Had there been 11 John Rankins on the park we would not have lost today.

credit where its due, thought the same last week, he looked and played like he might do a bit of training as well, always a good idea if you earn a living as a professional sportsman, must be lonely for him down East Mains though.

He was the best midfielder today. Doesnt change the fact that he's just not good enough and I hope he goes in the summer.

Rankin was by far the best player on the pitch today, he totally deserved the MOTM

Neither am I a fan.

But - I thought he was much more direct today and showed a lot of heart. Cheered him on at the game and will also say "well done John" on here too, he played well.

Couldn't agree more. Rankin was by far our best player today. The amount of stick he gets on here at times really takes the biscuit. There are a lot more players at the club who should be shown the door before him.

Well played today John Rankin. Covered every blade of grass and was commited in every tackle.

He's an athlete. The fittest and most professional player at the club IMO.
