I actually thought he was one of the only ones to play ok today. Seems to have came onto a game the last couple of weeks.

Out of contract is he not this summer? There is a fine footballer in there who can play in a few positions and a pity it took so long for him to be given an opportunity.

Excellent again..

Better CH than Hogg and a better RB than Wotherspoon or McCormack..

Pity the genius that is Yogi has only started playing him in the last few weeks..

I don't rate him in all honesty, seems to do everything at a snails pace, his passing is woefully at times and takes far too long on the ball although in fairness I am sure he would say himself he isn't a right back.

:agree: He should be offered a contract extension now, letting him go would be a mistake IMO.

Unreal that he has only started featuring recently when he is miles better than Hogg & McCormack.

Thicot, Rankin and Murray (just) are the only players to get passmarks today.

I'd give Thicot a new contract. I rate him and I think he deserves a chance.

One of the (very) few positives from today.

Rankin was my MOTM today, but agree that Thicot has played well this last week or two.

I don't rate Rankin at all but today he was our best midfielder by a long shot..

Not that Miller or Wotherspoon offered a thing in competetion like..

Thicot is actually one of the very few players who IS a good passer of the ball.

Rankin did do well at what he was asked to do which was put the shackles on Kingston. But you can't compare him to Wotherspoon or Miller as they had a different role.

Unfortunately for Rankin and the rest of the midfield they tired badly due to numbers and Kingston Suso and Templeton started bossing things.

Murray and/or Thicot would be better playing the defensive midfield role.

Thicot was brilliant again today.

Think he's better a CB and thought he would toil at RB today but he didn't at all he was excellent, he's one of the few players that can go home happy with the performance they put in.:agree:

My MOTM as well, although templeton made Thicot work hard when he swithced swings.

Thicot probably was MOTM today which says a lot about the other Hibs players! He's a decent CH and should be played there instead of Hogg who in turn should have been off after his injury, another masterstroke by Yogi!

Oi Cropley I gave you the benefit of the doubt last week and let you off the hook but has your view of Thicot changed any? :greengrin
Your opinion on this thread is would be appreciated.

He was our best defender today but that aint saying much.
I have never rated the guy but got to admit he has started to turn my opinion. Maybe has something to offer at RB but no way is he ever a CB.

I thought Thicot and Rankin were our two best players today.

Have always thought Thicot looked a player but never had a enough playing time to confirm this. Thought he played really well last season in the "reserve team" at the PBS . Feel that he should be in for last 2 games at centre half (never RB).What I would like to know is why have a natural RB on the bench (McCann) but conisistantly play other players out of position there??? If he is fit enough to be on bench should he not be playing as he is the only right back on the 1st team list????:grr::grr::grr:

I thought Rankin just edged it from Thicot for our MOTM today, but that said Thicot has really looked the part in the last few games.

I think he's a better Centre half than a right back, but either way he's doing well just now. I'd like to see him stay.:agree:

He isn't a right back. Everyone knows it. Like everyone else who's played since McCann's injury, he's a stand-in, but out of everyone who's played there, he's the only player who's looked any good. We should be hanging onto him for his versatility if nothing else.
