There is sadly no case for them. We should get a black & white kit for next season as it's like watching the keystone cops the way we cheaply give up very preventable goals.

This is the biggest flaw of the team IMO.

Yes, sure we've not been playing well recently, but Hearts got into 3rd last season playing bogging football. The difference was they were solid in defence.

How many goals have we conceded recently? We must be averaging close to 3 a game.

We don't deserve to win games with the amount of silly goals we concede.

Totaly agree with both comments, also id like to add i think we are far too soft and too many players scared of getting the boot in and too many of them scared to go into challenges.

Wouldn't have been so bad if our 'flair' players had been doing anything but they havent, for whatever reason, and it all comes back to our defence...not great.

At least we had a defence under Mixu. What has happened since the first half of the season when we had one of the best defences in the country?

Both Hearts goals were a joke completely straight forward defending which any decent amateur team would have dealt with. Smith is becoming a bit too error prone for me and should be punted. WTF was he doing for goal 2.

Defence??? What defence, the whole bloody lot of them should be taken out and shot.

Just seen the goals on SSN for the first time since seeing them 'live' from the FFL. What a shambles.

For the first Hanlon or Hogg (not sure who) tries to be smart and shield the ball from the Hertz player, who slides in and tackles - the ball going sideways to where both Smith and Murray go to the ball, the latter distracting the former. The ball is played by neither leaving the Spanish waiter with and open goal.:grr:

For the second, a ball into the box is missed by both the goalie and the defender (again both putting each other off) leaving Obua an open goal.:grr:

We have made two of the worst Yams look good. But this has been going on for years.:grr:

To be fair I would swap Obua with Nish in a heartbeat.

Our denfence is a joke and has been for 5 months. When are we going to get them sorted out ? The keeper are not much better but maybe with a decent defence in front of them maybe they would get a bit of confidence.

Reminds me of the Alan Hansen comment about a Columbian defender in the World Cup live on TV - two days after one was actually shot dead. He had to apologise for the comment.

Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga (13 March 1967 — 2 July 1994) was a Colombian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colombia) footballer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_football) who was shot and killed in Medellín (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medell%C3%ADn). It is widely believed that he was murdered due to his own goal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Own_goal) in the 1994 FIFA World Cup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_FIFA_World_Cup), which caused gambling losses to several powerful drug lords (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_lord). Andrés Escobar is still held in the highest regard by Colombian fans, and is especially mourned and remembered by Atlético Nacional (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atl%C3%A9tico_Nacional)'s fans. His brother, Santiago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santiago_Escobar), has managed many Colombian teams.

Doesn't matter what way you analyse Hibs at present. Nish, Stokes and Riordan were awful and contributed nothing to holding the ball, keeping possession in their half, and stretching them. That is as equally important as how our defence cope (or not). Thicot played well up until they equalised, and then a wee bit panic stepped in. Hogg, your captain and a player who should be pushing the side out and encouraging us not to play deep, just doesn't ! They played 4-2-4 last 15 minutes and Yogi again failed to shore up and put in a midfielder at the expense of Nish or Stokes. Rankin had run himself into the ground, and Murray I thought came onto a game handling young Templeton, hence he was moved flanks when Alf (Suso) came on. The whole side is utterly awful at the moment not just one particular area of the pitch. Yogi has indeed lost the dressing room and has now got a team of unconcerned bottlers who have no passion or will to win. And what the ***** is Alan Gow - Hearts must be pashing themselves that he came to us. Looks like a Glaswegian Gok Kwan and more interested in his greasy napper.

Perhaps after seeing that shambles that is our defence in the last 2 games, some people will realise how important Bamba is to our team

FFS, throw away comment.

Think you will find that had something to do with the Colombian cartels. I promise if someone does go out and shoot our defence I will be the first to apologise.

I've got to admit the line "should be taken out and shot" is a personal favourite of mine too:greengrin
