I have received Drawings on a foot-print for Hearts new stand. My work have been asked to produce services designs for it.
We haven't been told overall budget, but lets just say it's clearly not £51M worth:wink:

I've heard if it does get the go ahead its due for completion for start of season 11/12.

Anybody know how they have finally got the cash together because last thing I remember reading was that it wasn't going ahead.

They need to keep up the pretense that it is an on-going project so the can get a safety certificate for their asbestos ridden fire-trap for another season.

Just another attempt to muddy the water and let the Yam lovers in the Council bend the rules to suit them.

Best bit of advice you are going to get on the matter. Strange that they keep defaulting on payments, yet some people are still willing to do business with them.

Is it going to be an absolutely basic, single tier, Ikea flat pack, sort of stand?

So your employers are subbies to the main contractor ?

If Vlad stiffs the MC, there's no way your mob will get their cash.

They still owe Edinburgh Council £5.9M for the land that is currently occupied by Tynecastle High School/Nursery.

The council have categorically stated that no payment = no planning approval.

I think this is the most likely explanation.

The story was that the extra income the super duper stand would generate from the hotel etc was crucial to the development of Tynie.

Now this has been erased from the history books, and an entirely new plan is being drawn up?

Vlad is at it, as always.

Will they still require this land?

With a basic stand could they fit it on the footprint they already own?

If they build a new stand, even a bog-standard one, I think they will have to widen their pitch to EUFA standards.

That should leave room for about 4 rows of seats. Bit of a come down from the Souper Mega Stand promised.

This is just another ploy to keep the Yammish on-side, does anyone on this site (Other than Yams) actually BELIEVE this will be built?

It's Vlads version of ***** envy!!:agree::agree:

You fools, how dare you, of course there is nothing inside, its all a big trophy room for them to keep all of their silverware in! There is room for the Europa Cup, the Champions League Trophy, the World Cup, the Serie A trophy, the FA Cup, the Webb Ellis Cup and the Wimbledon Claret Jug, all which will be won when the Champions League/World Cup stars all arrive next season!!!! :agree:

Did they get a cup for winning the war? Perhaps they will use the space for some kind of interactive museum for the 400,000 hordes with a 3D representation of what the original stand was going to look like.

Details of "current" application "as is": -

Main Page (http://citydev-portal.edinburgh.gov.uk/publicaccess/tdc/DcApplication/application_detailview.aspx?keyval=JUU5NIEWR0000&searchtype=PROPERTY&module=P3)

The associated documents. (http://citydev-portal.edinburgh.gov.uk/portal/submissions.do?action=ViewPublicCaseDetails&applicationRef=08/00161/FUL)

and a drawing showing the proposed site plan (http://citydev-portal.edinburgh.gov.uk/portal/getEdmDoc?docid=55821522).

I would suspect the O.P.'s employer are carrying out work for a new application and the existing is going to be spectacularly dumped. Quick question anyway. Same footprint as we see in existing plans?

There's something very stinky going on here.

Ordinarily, all correspondence for an application is posted on the "associated documents page", yet there has been nothing in over a year?

The "transport" letter published 29.01.2009 clearly states that further studies were requested by the planners but "the client" has instructed his consulting engineers to not do this work.

Either the application should have been refused by now or the decision/consultation period should have been extended. Either way the related correspondence should have been published.

HoMoFC declared publically that meetings had taken place with the planners to scale down the project. Why is there no record of this in the related documents. The existing application should be either modified or withdrawn and a new one submitted in it's place.

I suppose it's got nothing to do with the fact that a refusal will automatically scupper the Council's land/property sales to HoMoFC... :cool2:

That's an interesting question. Were they actually formally presented with a trophy for winning the penalty shoot-out against the Queen Mother, or was it one of those deals where virtue was it's own reward?
