I've just got hold of a copy of the new book by Pat Stanton, and it must be said there is nothing better than a crisp new Hibernian book.

Got me thinking why is there not a book out about Mr Lawrie Reilly. Surely one of our greatest players and he must have a few stories to tell.

There also must be some cracking photo's of his playing career that could make a book on it's own.

Another book idea has to be "The Famous Five" - I've got the dvd but this would be a cracking read

Going to launch of Pat Stanton's new book at Easter Road on Thursday. Co-Author is Ted Brack who wrote the 50 years following Hibs book. If I hear about LR book will let you know.

I met Laswrie at the Willie Bauld dinner and He is very entertaining, charming and modest Man.

As Jonnyboy pointed out on another thread He has a remarkable goals to game ratio for Scotland.

No 9 on the 'all time' list of players who played 10 or more games.

See here (http://www.londonhearts.com/scotland/players/aaplayersbygoalsavg10.html)

The second best post war ratio, interestingly Bobby Johnstone has the best post war ratio slightly above Lawrie's (10 in 17 compared to 22 in 38).

Just checked and it's not Ted Brack writing Lawrie Reilly's book. Apparently it was discussed but someone else had already contacted Lawrie about it.

Disappointing but i'm sure it'll still be a great read!
